Greek Islands, here we come! This is a view from our hotel, where we will stay for 5 days. Heaven on earth...BTW, I asked why Greek buildings are mostly all white - both on the islands and in Athens, and I heard that the government offered money to subsidize the use of color but no one wanted to do it. Is is national pride or the relative ease of whitewashing versus painting? Either way it is simply beautiful...and interesting that the flag is blue and white, just like the landscape.
